Engaging multicultural communities in clinical trials
Join us for CEH’s final webinar of 2025, presented in partnership with Macquarie University. In this 45-minute session, we’ll explore the issue of low participation from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in clinical research and what can be done to change it.
Dr Abhijit Pal, Conjoint Associate Professor and Medical Oncology Staff Specialist at Western Sydney University, will discuss why this gap matters and share strategies for greater inclusion. CEH’s Tere Dawson will offer insights from a consumer and ethics perspective, and Rania Salama from Macquarie University will highlight the university’s role in advancing equitable research.
This session will unpack why this topic matters to health professionals, researchers and community organisations, and how collaboration can drive real change.

Community Paramedics – a new way of doing community health?
